Singaporean History Rap/Joke Ah Beng talks about Singapore history and current affairs... Under the 'ang mo' we all live happily together, no complain. Malaysia & Singapore is one big family in our brains. One day we both like 2 durians cannot get along. Got sharp thorns, poke each other, until 'buay song.' One moment like brothers, can give and take. Next moment we kena kicked out by the leg. Wah! Our towkay also cry like mad, we all also feel very very sad. Our neigbours all say, 'Wah they all sure to die! They got nothing, how to get next bowl of rice?' So 'boh pian,' we all work day and night. We also join the army so that we can fight. We don't care others 'see us no up'. But actually inside we very pain in the heart. Then slowly hor we grow rich and a bit fat. Now others talk about us also got some respect. They scratch their heads and say 'Very funny! Got nothing how come they can still make money?' Last time also got no money to buy ice-cream cone. Nowadays even small kids can also afford hand phone. Sea port, airport also can become Number One. He! He! Sometimes think about it also very fun. But some people look at us also not happy. Actually they jealous don't want to say only. So every time their country got something wrong. They all say Singapore's behind it all along. Everybody know we water no enough. They turn off tap only we all cannot last. They threaten us with water supply and shout 'Cut! Cut! Cut!' Aiyoh! They all think the water is one big ketupat. We all hear already also 'buay tahan' Wah liao, they think we small can makan! But now they 'cow pay cow bu' we all not very scared. We want to build water desalination plant already so not so bad. But their own economy now all go bust. Got to sell water otherwise money no enough. Then another neighbor say Singapore no friend friend, Got so much money, a bit more also donno how to lend. They say we all only one small red dot, like the center of a big dartboard. Maybe they think we mouse and they cat, that's why they suka suka anyhow talk like that. But we all still send them a lot of rice. Show the world we actually very very nice. Sometimes we 'cho ho sim' also kena whack. But we all gentleman wan, don't want to fight back. I think hor maybe they don't understand us very well. That's why relationship sometimes like heaven sometimes like hell Some say aiyah our prosperity is all due to luck, that's why we all siao siao' can still win the Tiger Cup I think hor, Singapore is like chilli padi in a pot - Size small small but still very very hot.

iPhone finally in Singapore?
The long waited phone is finally in Singapore... Don't worry, it's specs is not like the one when it was launched back in US...
SingTel has finally clinched the deal with Apple to bring in the 3G version of it into Singapore. And solely to SingTel only. But by Christmas 2008, all mobile telcos in Singapore would already have clinched the rights to sell it too.
Therefore, if you are considering to buy it... It's current press rate is actually around $690.
Being a SingTel staff with inside info, i would say it's actually less than that... Cause compared to the other phones, and their capabilities, and how Apple has been delaying the release to Asia after so long since the launch. People's hearts could have already died hoping and waiting for its release.
Seriously speaking, Apple is not a phone manufacturer... So you might not enjoy the functions of the phone... I'd used the phone myself... So i know... So does Gerald Lee own one too.
But well, since we waited for so long, why not wait till christmas? When all telcos get their hands on it, and when the price totally fluctuates, that's would be the best time to grab it... or even make it a xmas gift?

HAPPY MAMA'S DAY!!! It was sunday yesterday... no ordinary sunday... It was Mother's Day!!!
The brothers decided to surprise MAMA...
Ricky and I made sushi for her on mother's day midnight. Caught in action. Eating while doing. Slicing the sushi Can pass for a first-timer? Mama appreciating the sushi...
Richard bought a Guess handbag for her... But before he presented that to her... We brought her out for a mother's day treat at the kopitiam downstairs.
Overall, she seemed happy. Glad she did...
And I shared with her a video that Pastor Jeff did during the mothers' day service. I loved it very much and she liked it too...

Tired... Weary... Abit sick of life... (Part2)
So i continue...
After that incident with my best buddy in sec sch, a greater impact came shortly after...
It was my 16th birthday. It started after my Chinese O-level paper in early June, I decided to get a temp job during the June holidays. I wasn't in desperate need for money. But all i wanted to do was to give my classmates a treat to the KTV on my upcoming birthday. So I'd slogged working everydqy at the 'Cold Storage' supermarket previously located at Tiong Bahru Plaza. Cutting veggies and serving aunties with their groceries. I must say, i pick up alot abt selecting veggies and how to prepare great meals from the housewife aunties I'd spoke to.
School reopened, and my birthday came. Back then, the KTV craze had hit everyone. And so, I invited the class to my birthday party at one of the Chinatown's KTV clubs. Everyone was kinda doubtful... "Need to pay money anot? I broke now leh..." "Not a cent, all on me! It's my birthday la, just come show face and have fun..." So I reserved a large ktv for my class of 30, a medium room for 20 of my ex-lower sec classmates who'd change path due to their humanities selection, and another medium room for 12 (mainly my ex-gf and her classmates who i knew too.) It cost me a total of $500+ altogether. But I didn't mind. Nor did it bite me. As long as everyone was happy. (Come to think about it... A 16 year old student earning $500 in one month, i couldn't believe I could do that) On my birthday day Saturday, it was from 2-8pm. Everyone turned up. I was like some bridegroom of some wedding. Ushering my frens to their rooms and making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Everyone couldn't believe I was serious, except my ex-gf. She came to visit me at work and she had supported me in the planning of everything. Eventually, everyone enjoyed themselves... being andy lau-s and jacky cheung-s. The girls were singing the 'duck' song by Tracy Su again and again.
Then suddenly, my ex-gf remembered sumthing... "Dear, what about the b'day cake?" "Oh shit, I checked everything 'cept the cake..." Drats, I started to panic. I started to count my money. I don't have enough for a cake for 60 pax. Arrghhhh.... I went to the cake shop at redhill to collect the cake while my frens continued singing back in the KTV. The auntie told me, the cake cost $50++. But since I'm a student, she'll just charge me $50 nett.
Ok... Now I'm short by $50. I tried thinking of solutions as I ran back to the KTV. Perspiring, I asked the boss... "Lao Ban, can give discount anot? I got such a big crowd and i'm kinda short here" "Boy, I already given you the cheapest liao... i saw that it was your birthday, and I gave u my best rooms, and i threw in so many free drinks... If I'd opened for business, i could have earn more than that leh..." "Ohh.... Ok Thanks. I'll try to think of sumthing..."
I went back to the room (where my ex-gf and her classmates were) I told my ex-gf the situation... She and her classmates were all shocked. "Oh no, how sia... Let's see whether we can come up with the $50 anot", said one guy. We gathered our resources, and counted. Only $20+, where got enough? Then my ex-gf thought, why dun you get ur classmates to chip in $1 or $2 each? That way, with 40 classmates, we shld be able to get the outstanding amount... Not too bad an idea...
So I went to my classmates' ktv room, knocked gently, opened the door slightly and asked... "Guys, so sorry... I know I had promised to give u guys a treat... But sumthing cropped up. So I am a lil short on cash. Would it be alright if I could get each of u guys to chip in $1 each for the cake? So sorry... Didn't mean to make u guys spend a cent at all..." My classmates were a lil shocked, but they smiled and said... " No worries dude... Small fry... Not a prob at all" "Gee... Thanks, I'll come at the end of the day. You guys continue to enjoy yourselves!"
At about 7pm, my ex-gf suggested that it was time we cut the cake. So we gathered in the largest room to cut and eat the cake. Everyone laughed and teased me on what i had wished for... After the cake, everyone went back to their rooms for the final rounds of our inter-rooms KTV challenge.
At abt 7:50pm, my ex-gf suggested that I shld start collecting the $$$ so that we could foot the bill before everyone starts leaving. Good idea, I went to their rooms, but seeing that they were still busy singing, i told myself to come back in 5 mins time. After which, I came back again... the music was still playing away and i didn't know how to make an un-rude entrance so I told myself another 5 mins.
It was exactly 8, and i could wait no longer. I returned to their rooms to find everyone gone. With no farewells, no money contributions and the music playing at its loudest. I was disappointed. My own classmates and ex-classmates, played me out... Least they could do, were to tell me that they came empty pockets and couldn't contribute anything...
There was no other solutions but to call my treacherous mother down for help. I hated that. She would nagged me infront of my gf and frens and disgrace me... But I didn't have a choice. She did come down and settled everything. And yes, she gave me a lecturing along down Chinatown Road.
That was not the end...
I went back to school on Monday. As I walked by the corridor outside my classroom, everyone were gossiping and pointing at me... One Ah Beng went, "See that goon duu.... Treat pple birthday party, no money pay KTV & cake ah... hahahaha" Another replied lor... "Ya lor, Bastard lor... Still expect me to pay ah... Puiii..." Another added... "Act seh only lah... Wanna act rich wad... "
I was speechless, i didn't know what to say. I'd know a guy shouldn't cry, especially in public. But the tears just overflowed from my eyes. So, I just went to my desk, rest my head on the desk, and wept quietly... My best friend sitting behind me, tried to come over and offered a tissue. The Ah Beng walked over and brushed him off... "Dun attend to pussys la...."
Haizz... typing all these just brings back the memories and the moments.... Perhaps this explains why I hate clicking with big groups of people. I find it hard to trust pple that easily anymore. Maybe you'll understand why I'm usually so quiet...
