'My Fair Lady' Musicale
Sounds new to you?
Well, it isn't if you are a musical or Julie Andrew fan...
Perhaps u might only have heard abt the title when you'd played ya childhood game 'London Bridge is falling down'...
Well, today... My company had a so-called 'Customer Appreciation Day with StarHub'...
And of course, the big shots were all invited to this 'My Fair Lady' musical @ the Esplanade.
Not the CEO though, but I'm sure it was someone who calls the shots.
There were 20 of our company's staff [Sales Manager, Marketing Managers, Marketing Director] interacting the 20 other staff and family members of StarHub. We got the circle seats. Which was like the ground floor right infront of the stage. A peep at the ticket and woah~ $140...
Err.. Dun be mistaken... I ain't a manager. I was there to support the event and setup any presentation slides as they had booked the DXO to offer dinner and drinks to catch up before the big show.
Well, lucky me... One of the managers couldn't turn up... and they din wanna waste the ticket. So they offered me... Why not? I love musicals... It's just the $$$.
I must say, the story was 'loverly'. But I still prefer Julie Andrews as the lead.
And if you are a very english person [Jiak Kan Tung], you would understand it and love the humour and songs.
It's been so long I last saw a musical.
Think, I last saw a musical with Mrs Radford (My Secondary Sch English teacher). 'Beauty World', that is. The Sharon Au version. Also Les Miserable. Man, I missed Mrs Radford, wonder how is she doing back in the Great Britain? How is Harry and Victoria (Her children)? They must be young lads now. Man, time flies... If only I could give Mrs Radford a big hug now...
Splendid night, I say...
because you make me feel special.
