'My Fair Lady' Musicale
Sounds new to you? Well, it isn't if you are a musical or Julie Andrew fan... Perhaps u might only have heard abt the title when you'd played ya childhood game 'London Bridge is falling down'...
Well, today... My company had a so-called 'Customer Appreciation Day with StarHub'... And of course, the big shots were all invited to this 'My Fair Lady' musical @ the Esplanade. Not the CEO though, but I'm sure it was someone who calls the shots.
There were 20 of our company's staff [Sales Manager, Marketing Managers, Marketing Director] interacting the 20 other staff and family members of StarHub. We got the circle seats. Which was like the ground floor right infront of the stage. A peep at the ticket and woah~ $140...
Err.. Dun be mistaken... I ain't a manager. I was there to support the event and setup any presentation slides as they had booked the DXO to offer dinner and drinks to catch up before the big show.
Well, lucky me... One of the managers couldn't turn up... and they din wanna waste the ticket. So they offered me... Why not? I love musicals... It's just the $$$.
I must say, the story was 'loverly'. But I still prefer Julie Andrews as the lead. And if you are a very english person [Jiak Kan Tung], you would understand it and love the humour and songs.
It's been so long I last saw a musical.
Think, I last saw a musical with Mrs Radford (My Secondary Sch English teacher). 'Beauty World', that is. The Sharon Au version. Also Les Miserable. Man, I missed Mrs Radford, wonder how is she doing back in the Great Britain? How is Harry and Victoria (Her children)? They must be young lads now. Man, time flies... If only I could give Mrs Radford a big hug now...
Splendid night, I say...

Apple iPhone? How 'bout an iPhone mini or iPhone nano?
Apple has just released their latest tricks up their sleeves for the year 2007. Here you have it. comes equipped with 3.5-inch wide touchscreen display with multi-touch support and a proximity sensor to turn off the sensor when it's close to your face, 2 megapixel cam, 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth with EDR, WiFi that automatically engages when in range, and quadband GSM radio with EDGE. Perhaps most amazingly, though, it somehow runs OS X with support for Widgets, Google Maps, and Safari, and iTunes (of course) with CoverFlo

Thanks to Ah Boon, who organised a get-together to bid farewell to 'Uncle' Sam... Coz he'll be flying to Monash(Australia) to pursue his degree in Psychology...
WOAH~ RIGHT? Haha... Well, it's always been a forte of his (Handling PR relationships), hope he can make a bang out of it... Well, God blesses him...
We met 2pm @ Orchard MRT. Ironically, Samuel was the first one to be there. (Around 1:45pm) Followed by Yanguang. (Man, officers are punctual... LoLx) Then, I arrived shortly after... (About 2:10pm) And lastly, Ah Boon, of coz... *FYI, These guys are my bmt mates. From Tekong...
First, headed to Sim Lim as Samuel needed to get [a USB hub, an external keyboard, & a cooler unit] for his laptop. So we found them... Headed opposite the road for some deserts @ this ice shop where Julian Hee had acted in previously...
Then after, we headed to the steamboat restaurant at Liang Seah St. 重庆麻辣火锅. Made us sweat to the last bit. But it was satisfying. Though the food quality wasn't... Then after we headed to The Cathay Building to catch the 9:45pm Borat... Had a chat @ the PictureHouse Lounge b4 the show as it was still early... Ah Boon ordered ice coffee & fries... I had a ginger ale. Jared joined us after his work... [He's now @ Giraffe, opposite the Istana]
As we sat down together in the lounge sipping coffee... I suddenly felt manhood within us... We were really men. No longer boys. We have grown... YG said, a girl wants a guy who know where he's going... and no point rushing into a relationship...
This bunch of folks made me felt aspiring... They were guys, ready for the future... Pursuing more out of themselves... Not procrastinating... Taking grip of every minute every second of their life... Suddenly, I felt kinda loser. Felt insecurity overflowing me when i'd compared myself to them. I'd always had the fear to challenge myself. Looking at them, gives me the courage to portray what a man should be. I felt comfortable with this group. I felt very 'M-A-N' No longer a teen chasing after the wind... chasing after the clouds of dreams...
For a start, I guess 2007 would probably mark a new me. Someone who's gonna make a difference. Someone who wants to change for the better... I do remember when I was younger. I never learned how to use the chopsticks & held it the scissors way(my way). People offered to help but I was stubborn. Then I had to make myside change and adhere to the right traditional way. And now, I find it hard to change back... Indeed a desire for change is required...
...Borat was lame. Slapstick. Leecherous...
We bid farewell to each other after the show... Then YG and I took the same bus home. He encouraged me to pursue a degree & not waste time away. "Don't regret when you are in the coffin, saying that you SHOULD have done that!" Yeah, I thought... But it's easy for you(YG) to say. You are already an undergrad of NUS. You are a good student... good character... good person... Me? I'm shit... Emo... Give-Up-er... What can i actually achieve? "Nah... My results was bad. But I made it by chance. You can do it too, trust me! You won't know if you dun try..."
He recommended me 'The University of Adelaide'... I wouldn't mind...
Let's hope 4 a better tmr...
